* Carbohydrates provides you with energy. You can get carbohydrates from these foods; cereals, pasta, potato and bread…etc.
* Proteins are responsible for the growth and repair of all tissues in your body. You can get proteins from meat, fish, eggs, beans..etc.
* Fats are also good source of energy. They also help to transport essential vitamins around your body. The best form of fats are the unsaturated fats. Butter and cheese are high in saturated fats so you may want to avoid them.
* Vitamins and minerals are important to keep your body healthy and functioning. Calcium can be gotten from milk, soy milk, yogurt, fortified cereals…etc. Copper sources include seeds, seafood, nuts, wheat bran cereals, whole grains…etc. Green leafy vegetables, nuts, dairy, soybeans, potatoes and whole wheat are good product of magnessium. Fibre are not categorized among any of the above classes of food but they are essential to the body. So you should include them in your meals. Whole grain, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, oatmeal, lentils, peas, beans, fruits and vegetables are super rich in fibre.
Above all, eating healthy saves you less time in treating illness, you save more money because you will spent less on medical bills. As the saying goes, ”An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
