Few hours after Buhari’s condolence visit, Boko Haram attacks Maiduguri


Maiduguri, the Borno state capital on Wednesday was attacked by Boko Haram terrorists.

The attack comes few hours after the condolence visit of President Muhammadu Buhari who came to sympathize with the state over a Sunday attack that claimed 30 lives.

Some women and children were said to have been abducted in Auno community by the terrorists during the attack.

Mr Buhari who visited the state while returning from a foreign trip was booed by residents of the state capital.

Sounds of gunshots was reported to have rented the air around 7pm. Moments later, houses in the Jiddari Polo area where set ablaze.

Meanwhile, President Buhari has assured Nigerians on improved security in no distant time.



  1. This shows that the so called Generals in the army from Fulani extraction never merited their promotions. They got theirs through godfatherism or through the compact believe that they are born to rule.
    How can a General fight terrorists conventionally by applying 1960 methodology as thought in the NDA those days ?.
    No refresher courses, training and retraining because if you take 60% of them out for foreign courses only 2% will pass on average conditions hence their failure to uproot 10,000 untrained insurgents.
